Nice basic stove. Jury still out on oven works

Overall controls are straight forward and functional. The markings for the dual burner controls could stand out more and be a touch larger to be read more easily. We are not thrilled with the temperature in the oven as sometimes looking through the door the temperature seems mostly under the temp reading on the display yet sometimes over.I have adjusted the temp system setting and hope this helps. The glass top is an absolute nightmare for cleaning. We used to have a basic Hotpoint with glass top but it had a spray speckled finish on the glass and not this Jet Black that cleaned up and hid smear marks much better.

The good and the bad

No information book with delivery. I didn't know which way to turn the dials for large or small cooking . The temperature is very accurate. The oven clicks when heating. Told by others NOT to use the pizza or lasagna settings because they burn the food. It cleans remarkably well! This is the first oven that I have ever had where the oven light is so bright that you can see the food without opening the oven door!

This is a good basic functional stove. i have not tried the self clean yet, but all other functions do well. The front of the top of the stove gets very hot when the oven is on. You have to be careful not to touch it.

No problems with its performance .I do have one question, sometimes when I'm preheating the oven. it kind of squicks. Don't know if that is normal I really don't have a mouse in my house. Average range but made in America not China.

Range is OK but I would like to see some changes. The glass ceramic top is very hard to clean up spills and grease splashes from. Manual says to use water but we know water and oil don't mix. Even using glass stovetop cleaner requires a lot of hand polishing to bring out a clean looking top. Also the alert signals should be louder. I really don't care for the way the coils on top are laid out. I think for broiling they should be down the middle. Preheating the over seems to take much longer than our last oven. Too over 10 minutes to reach 350 degrees. Overall it is an average range and haven't tested the self cleaning function yet.

Basic and awkward

We bought this stove without actually seeing it in the store. It's ok. We used to have a Maytag double oven range. It was easy to use, well built and lasted for close to 20yrs without a single issue until the upper broiler quit recently. We always used the small top oven which heated quickly and was very easy to access . This new single large oven takes a while to preheat and access is awkward for us as seniors. It also feels inefficient to heat such a large oven to only cook food. The unit is not flush with the wall which looks unusual. The bottom storage drawer is starkly flimsy, does not "glide" open and barely holds but a couple of pans without straining under the weight. It was also surprising to see no closure or surrounding to this drawer such that the wall is completely exposed. The glass burner units feel slightly awkward in regards to the markings vs the dials.

I got this new oven and i have a problem with sliding the top oven rack out of the oven when i need to pull something out I am cooking. Gets stuck when you try pulling out. Was told by the dealer we got it from that this is the way it id and nothing can be done about it. I have never in my 70 years if life ever heard if this or seen this with any oven i've come across. Very disappointed.

I bought this stove a few months ago and I have no complaints with it. The oven heats up quickly. My dad loves his bacon baked in the oven. The burners all heat up quickly. I did purchase the extended warranty but I do this on everything I buy. I love the glass top makes it so easy to clean!

We replaced our former stove with virtually the same model. The old model was slow and had a number of permanent blemishes. The new model came with three dents, and Agren fixed them all. We find that the oven temperature is not as hot as it indicates in the readout. We have had to adjust. Also, the dials were hard to read - it would be easy to leave a burner on. I have fixed that with paint.
