I bought this microwave about three months ago and I am so unhappy with it .This microwave has not worked properly since I purchased it First of all I paid for installation and the This the installers who were supposed to install the microwave did not install it .I had paid for installation with whirlpool And I never received a discount Or a refund .I had to hire another contractor to install the whirlpool microwave .Whirlpool sent out a contractor to repair the microwave But as of this point the microwave has to be removed from my house And repaired in another location. This has been a inconvenience for me and my family I am very disappointed with the overall service that I have received from whirlpool.I will be without an at microwave for over several days I have been informed That it will take that time to get the parts needed .

bought this to replace a Samsung made Kenmore that parts are no longer available. This oven doesn't have the power of the old one but it's close. The biggest negative is the keypad, it's dark and almost impossible to see in low light, we could use the oven with no problem with much less light than we have to use with the new one.

I had to replace my old oven because it was making a clicking noise, and only thing I noticed different was the numbers are harder to push for me....I'm over 55 and have to push them rather hard and I can't see what is cooking inside because the black tint is up higher on the machine. I am on the shorter side, and have to stand on my tip toes.

Loved this until the turn table started yelling at me and the coating of the microwave begin sticking on the rollers. Repairman said it was the motor and replaced it. It didn't make a difference. I tried to get a different repair company, yet there is only one in my area? I insisted that the repair company send a different repairman, but there is only one other man. I had to clear my WHOLE DAY for the next repair as they can't give me a time. All of my appliances are Whirlpool. This is not the service I expect. This product now scares me!

Bought to replace a broken Whirlpool microwave that I really liked. This one is ok. I do not like the rough gray interior. The window into the microwave is black. Hard to see items inside and hard to keep clean. Just not a fan. The turn table and support seem very flimsy. Microwave was not in stock, had to order and it took a month for it to arrive.

Replacement for GE 1.9 cu ft microwave that ended its life. Needed beige color to match other appliances and this is one of only two available models worldwide, the other being a cheap GE 1.6 cu ft. Although the same 1.9 cu ft size, the rotating dish plate is two inches smaller, so big items have to have the dish removed or rotation turned off. While it has the +30 second button, I miss the quick cook GE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 minute button option.

I bought this microwave (model WMH32519) because it closely matched many of the features I liked on my old Whirlpool OTR microwave which finally died after 22 years of fault-free operation. What I discovered (after installation because there was no way to know prior to installation) was that the stovetop light is dim and positioned so far back that it lights the back wall but that's not where the light is needed. It is needed so that all four burners on the stove (front and back) are WELL lit. Whirlpool refers to it as a 'Microwave Hood Combination'. One main function of a stove hood is to light the entire surface of the stove beneath it well. Whoever designed this must never cook or they would know putting the light that far back is not going to fulfill that function. Reducing the number of stovetop lights from 2 to 1 is also a bad functional design choice. The light inside the microwave is also dim. Another thing I was unaware of is that the recirculating exhaust vents straight up from the top of the microwave. So it is blowing warm and moist air on the cabinet above which is not good for the cabinet. Also the opening for the recirculating exhaust is not covered by a protective grille so there is nothing to keep dust, debris, insects from getting into the cavity from which the air blows and where the charcoal filter is located (see pictures). Not only would a protective grille help keep the that cavity clean, it could have been designed to deflect the air coming from the vent at an angle away from the cabinet above. BTW the center portion of the exhaust vent is the only location along the entire vent that air blows out of. The openings to the right and left of the center of the 'grille' do not blow air so why leave them open and exposed? It is obvious that Whirlpool did not have the customer in mind when deciding to cheapen the lighting and vent. I'd really like to uninstall the microwave and send it back but what I have found in researching other brands of OTR microwaves is that many of them use the same parts so most now have also changed to using only a single stovetop light in the very back and have open/exposed recirculating exhaust vents. My guess is so many customers place more importance on how an appliance looks that it incentivizes the manufacturers to focus more on aesthetics rather than making a practical designed product that does the job it is meant to do well and also lasts a long time.

Do not buy this if you want a fan that will draw steam from your stove top. Although advertised as a microwave/hood combo - it does not function as a hood. This unit is very disappointing - almost as disappointing as the treatment I received from Whirlpool Customer Service. I purchased this to replace a 20 year old WP unit - this one is no where near the quality or functioning of my old unit.

We've had this product for almost 2 months now and it seems ok, nothing special ... the panel is sometimes hard to read because the letters are really small and everything is flush. My previous Whirlpool microwave only lasted 9 months. In my opinion, that's a short life for a microwave. My prior microwave which was a tabletop, and cost under $100.00 lasted 15 years. In addition, my prior Whirlpool microwave was lined with the same bisque color on the outside. The new microwave is lined with a silver material (unsure wha it is, it makes the microwave sound tinny like a hollow sound. Also, opening and closing the microwave is harder and much noisier the the previous Whirlpool microwave

We recently purchased this microwave from Home Depot to replace our older GE model, and we couldn™€™t be happier with the upgrade. The modern controls and automatic settings are extremely user-friendly, making everyday tasks like popping popcorn or cooking a frozen entrÃe as simple as pressing a button. The dedicated buttons for various foods like popcorn, potatoes, vegetables, and frozen entrÃes are a great feature. One of the highlights for us has been the rotating tray and the second shelf, which allows for cooking two different items simultaneously (though we haven't used both together yet). The microwave's sensor technology is fantastic™€"it's incredibly responsive and seems well-calibrated for tasks like reheat, defrost, and even functions like steam simmer and soften/melt. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that this microwave is designed to be installed above the stove. It has a built-in vent fan with three-speed settings, as well as a light with adjustable brightness for illuminating the stovetop. These features weren™€™t highlighted in the sales literature but have been very beneficial for our kitchen setup. New Whirlpool Microwave Oven

I bought and installed this microwave oven myself about a month ago after having three GE ovens fail miserably. So far it functions perfectly and we've been very happy with it. The oven is large and powerful. The controls are intuitive and appearance is very nice. The only things I would change are minor. The installation instructions failed to mention that you should peel off the clear coating over the control panel. When it started to bubble up I contacted Whirlpool and learned that covering was temporary for shipping. Second, when the cooking cycle ends, it beeps 4 times with each beep containg 4 notes. That's 16 beeps. Two or three would be sufficient. We'll see if this oven lasts, my last Whirlpool microwave oven lasted 20 years. The three GR ovens lasted less that 18 months each on average; and repair costs exceed the value of the oven.

I had a built in Almond Microwave purchased in 2000. It never gave me any problems until Feb.2024. I had a warranty with Sears and a tech was sent out to repair it - but they couldn't remove it from the wall above my stove. They suggested that I hire a "handyman" to remove it and then call them for repair. I decided to see what was on the market in the same color, Almond. Great Microwave, Terrible Exhaust

This is a great microwave. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the exhaust/vent. If you use the front burners, the steam/smoke doesn't get pulled into the exhaust. I had a technician come out because I didn't think it was working at all. He said "don't use the front burner under the control panel". 😲. The air intake, even from the back burners is almost non-existent.

Worst control panel I've seen on an appliance. Owners manual tells nothing of how to operate. Buttons are not labeled on what they do. Manual says to select menu button, but no buttons are labeled menu. Check on YouTube for a tutorial, but the control panel on their microwave show labeled buttons which mine does not. Liked my old one a lot better.

I bought this to replace our existing microwave. Had to purchase it on-line because they weren't available in the store. The main flaw in this unit is the control panel. The printing is too small and is black on a brown surface which makes it hard to read.

Very pleased with the new microwave. I had it installed by a Lowes contractor, a husband and wife team. They were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and professional. They were careful to protect the stove beneath the microwave, explain the operation and cleaned up everything after the installation.

i like it except kind of hard to get time set without military time popping back in. also face where buttons are to touch for cooking time etc is so light. need to be darker to see better. made pop corn . the sensing feature was great. POP was WONDERFEUL WITHOUT BURNING AND NOT MANY KERNALS LEFT after that did not pop.
